Foolish-Hearts is another friend whom I follow on DeviantArt (most probably will be). She is a talented author and has a novel-length Skyrim fanfiction that she is just finishing up. She’ll be starting on a new one in March, and I’ll add that here when it comes out.

Her fanfiction Ancient Blood is sort of a spinoff of the Dark Brotherhood storyline with some very cool–VERY cool–twists.

Here are the first few chapters of Ancient Blood and some of my favorite artwork. Be sure to check her page out, especially if you’re a fan of Skyrim, and especially Cicero. Just a note: there may be spoilers in the pics, so follow them to her page a your own risk.

Storm’s Childe 5 – Great Things

amelia-and-the-night-mother

Amelia was still having second thoughts and regrets when they ported to the Falkreath Sanctuary. She had killed innocents before; it was part of the job. Why did Tova Shatter-Shield’s murder bother her so? For the first time since Speaker Terenus had approached her years ago, Amelia wondered if she might be doing the wrong thing. She was a vampire; killing was what she did. And she was a damn good assassin. But could she ever hope for redemption? She had accepted that she would go to the void upon death, but what if she would rather go to Dibella’s realm instead? Dibella had once told Amelia She loved her. Did She still love her, or had She abandoned her when she had joined the Brotherhood? And if she did stay with the Brotherhood, what if she choked?

Storm’s Childe 4 – A Difficult Contract

Author’s Note: This chapter contains spoilers, not only for the “Mourning Never Comes” quest but also my Selene Stormblade series. I am writing this in the same world as Selene, after Selene’s story has been completed and before Dragonborn: the Legacy begins, and that means that certain out-of-game, off-lore things have happened. I make no apologies, but if you’re a lore junkie, you might want to consider not reading.

After nursing Vallanil back to health, Amelia took him with her to complete her other two contracts. With him along, the kills were effortless. Afterward, they used her portal stone to head back to the Falkreath Sanctuary.

Storm’s Childe 2 – The Jester

the-group

Amelia descended a set of stone stairs and entered an office. It was furnished with a desk and some bookshelves, fairly unremarkable. A doorway led from the office to a master bedroom. Another doorway led to more stairs, where a beautiful Nord woman leaned against the wall. She was blonde and blue-eyed, and her hair was pulled back in a braid. She looked over and smiled.

“Amelia!” Astrid cooed, and she came forth with arms out to hug her. “What brings you here, Sister?”

Amelia hugged her back but otherwise didn’t waste any time. “The sanctuary in the Gold Coast was destroyed. My matron sent me out with a portal stone. As far as I know, I was the only one who made it out.”
