2/21/2013: Relationships.
Selene spent a few months in the Palace of the Kings living with Ulfric Stormcloak, and she came closer than she realized to becoming his queen. As Dragonborn, Ulfric pretty much saw Selene as an equal, but she never got that. She always felt a bit inferior—or if not inferior, like the heroine in a trashy romance novel, a damsel in distress who is swept off her feet by the dashing hero.
Ulfric’s prejudice against elves drove her from his arms when he refused to let her injured friend, a Dunmer named Athis from the Companions, convalesce in the Palace of the Kings. She left him, but she still does work for him from time to time. She never completely got over him, though, and although she loves Brynjolf with all her heart, Ulfric can still make her heart flutter with just a glance. He knows it, too, and when they are together, he does whatever he can to get an emotional reaction out of her.
I am really eager to read your characterization of Ulfric.

Be sure to let me know what you think. Sometimes when I read back through I feel like I didn’t develop him enough, so I’m really interested in your opinion, especially since I’m still writing him in The Dragonborn’s Tale.

Ulfric or as one of my characters refers to him as “That guy” can be a giant tool but I always assumed he was over compensating for something. hehe
